TAIAO 2022 State Volleyball Tournament
We are very excited for this years TAIAO State Tournament. This year we will have 50 teams attending.
TOURNAMENT DATES
October 13, 2022 – October 15, 2022
* Thursday October 13th will be an afternoon pool ONLY for San Antonio vicinity Middle Schools. No other teams will be added to this day.
All other teams will play Friday October 14th and Saturday October 15th.

PARKING
Parking is available in any marked parking spaces around the FORCE building. You may also park at the building that is its twin right beside it. Also, to the west of the building beside FORCE, there is a large paved parking lot that is available to us.
After all parking spaces are full, you are allowed to park in the dirt field directly in front of FORCE.
WRISTBANDS
Wristband preorders are available until Tuesday October 11th. Attendee with preordered wristbands will be allowed into the gym first.
Preordered wristbands can be picked up at FORCE Sports Center Thursday October 13th between 5:00pm – 8:00pm. Payment in full is required to pick up wristbands. Checks can be made payable to “TAIAO.”

*Family must be immediate family and/or live in your household. Extended family (Grandparents, aunts, uncles) do not count toward the family maximum price.
FOOD AND CHAIR POLICY
FORCE is our host and will be providing a full concession stand and will be bringing BBQ pits to grill extra items for the event. An event tent will be setup outside for families and players to use when not playing or working.
No outside food or drink is allowed inside the gym or in the event tent. This includes coffee and beverages. Players are allowed to bring water bottles.
Bag chairs or personal chairs are not allowed inside the gym as there is ample bleacher seating. Bag chairs or personal chairs are allowed in the event tent.
HOTELS
These are hotels with group rates available. The SA FORCE Gym is very close to each of these hotels.

Hotel Food
This hotel includes an above average hot breakfast!
Also included in your stay is a free nightly reception from 5pm to 7pm. This reception includes a rotating menu of fresh, hot food and cold beverages. See a sample menu. This can definitely be a dinner for your entire family!
Court Rentals
The evening of Thursday October 13th there is limited availability to rent court space. Cost for one court is $40 per hour. Contact Edie Miller by Friday October 7th to reserve a court.
DIVISIONS
Division assignments will be released when registration is complete.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
TAIAO will be using AES for scheduling pools and brackets, as well as results. The schedule will be posted on AES on October 12, 2022.

Friday 8AM Pool
7:15am – players and coaches allowed entry
7:30am – all spectators with wristbands allowed entry
7:40am – line forms for wristband purchase
Friday 3PM Pool
2:15pm – players and coaches allowed entry
2:30pm – all spectators with wristbands allowed entry
2:40pm – line forms for wristband purchase
Please note that if the AM pool is running late, it will delay these entry times.
Saturday brackets begin at 8:00am
7:15am – players and coaches allowed entry
7:30am – all spectators with wristbands for day 2 allowed entry
7:40am – line forms for wristband purchase for day 2
All teams are guaranteed two matches. This does not mean double elimination.
REQUIREMENTS
High School teams need to be registered in MaxPreps. Schedules and weekly scores need to be kept up to date.
