After some much needed rest following the TAIAO State tournament the Saints were back in action Tuesday playing the Lutheran High School Mustangs.
JV
The JV team brought in an expanded roster and was first to play. The Mustangs kept the first set close until it was 7-7 and Sophomore Sydney Roseberry went on a three point run. The Saints kept a six point lead until the end of the match where Roseberry went on another run to finish the set.
The Mustangs started the second set strong jumping out to a six point lead with an 8-3 score. The Saints then went on an eight point run to take the lead. They kept the lead and extended it to a second set final of 25-14.

Varsity
It was senior night for the Mustangs varsity, but the Saints were here to win, not reminisce.
The Varsity dads brought their best game as well.
After team introductions and a Lutheran administrator singing the national anthem it was time to play.
The Varsity had a different lineup from previous games with two players out of action, but that didn’t stop them from jumping out to a quick lead and a first set victory 25-16.
A dedicated Lutheran High School student section used a random group of signs and cheers to encourage the home team to “avoid the L”, but it wasn’t meant to be.
The Saints improved as the night went on and won the next two sets allowing fewer points each time.
